چکیده

LTHOUGH AN EXTENSIVE literature has accumtilated on the electron microscopy of mammalian lymph nodes, the ultrastructure of normal nodes of human origin has received less attention. Bernhard and Granboulan1 and Granhoulan2 have reported on the ultrastructure of human lymph node cells, and recently Bernhard and Leplus have published an atlas containing electron micrographs of cells from normal and pathological human lymph nodes. In addition to describing lymph node cells, Bernhard and Granboula&

Localized Leishmania Lymphadenitis: A Morphologic and Immunohistochemical Study

Localized Leishmania Lymphadenitis (L.L.L) is a self limited clinical presentation of cutaneous leishmaniasis. Microscopic findings in L.L.L are very similar to Toxoplasma lymphasenitis. In all cases, an intensive microscopic search should be done for Leishman bodies. In this study, we describe our micro...

Effects of T-2 Toxin on Cytokine Produc-tion by Mice Peritoneal Macrophages and Lymph Node T-Cells

Background: T-2 toxin is a mycotoxin of type A trichothecenes produced by several fungal genera such as Fusarium species. Mycotoxins can affect both cell mediated and humoral immune compartments. Objective: The purpose of this study was to investi-gate the effect of T-2 toxin on cytokine production by mouse peritoneal macrophages and lymph node T cells. Methods: Mouse peritoneal macrophages and...

An electron microscopic examination of murine plasma cell neoplasms with and without paraproteinemia.

We have examined seven generalized neoplasias which developed in BALB/c mice subsequent to inoculation of subcellular leukemic material from mice with plasma cell leukemias. Based on light microscopic criteria the malignancies were classified as immature plasma cell neoplasms. Four were associated with paraproteinemia of the gamma-globulin G type and 3 had normal electrophoretic patterns. An el...

Schwannoma In A Perigastric Lymph Node: A Rare Case Report

Schwannomas are benign nerve sheath tumors that originate from any anatomical site. Most of the schwannomas are found in the head, neck or limbs. Schwannoma arising in a lymph node is extremely rare. We have found only four cases in the review of the literature. We experienced a case of intranodal schwannoma in a perigastric lymph node. A 72 year-old female underwent cholecystectomy due to ...
